First Day of Fall

Well, not really.
However, it feels like fall because it was the first day of
Mother's Day Out for the muffins.

(before school shot)
They went this summer,
but it was so laid back it didn't seem official.
Today is was more official, and a lot more crowded.
Man the parking lot was full.
Bella seemed very excited last night,
this morning, and even on the way into the building.
I was a little apprehensive because it
was a different "school" than last year.
Everything seemed to be looking good,
until we realized that her friend that we had switch over
to the new "school" was in fact not in her class.
So, I was THAT parent that requested that she be moved.
I know THOSE parents oh so well... working in the school district...
but never did I think I would be one of those.
But the fact of the matter is when we asked her friend to make
the switch it was based on them being together in the same class...
so it made sense.
They were super sweet and made the switch for us.

However, Bella still went into the classroom crying.
I was trying to get a good action shot of her
playing in her classroom like I was able to get
last year... but this is all I got...
... this sad, pitiful face.
I felt kind of wrong trying to take a picture.
Funny thing is I don't even think she knew why she was crying.
I believe she thought that she was suppose to be crying...
due to the fact the little boy in the room next to her was in
complete and utter hysterics.
However, Rowan went in great.
I did warn the teacher that he was in fact a biter!
So, she should keep a tight eye on the little guy.

Help Me- We've Got A Biter

I can't say it any other way...
I got a biter on my hands and I am not sure what to do.

I pop his little cheek when he does it,
but it really doesn't seem to be helping.
The other day at lifegroup my friend, AMY,
was holding him and loving on him...
he snuggled up next to her
and the next thing she knew, he bit her on the neck.
It is usually out of excitement when it occurs.
Any thoughts out there?

Now How Am I Suppose To Eat This Thing

Rowan was struggling tonight on how exactly he should eat corn on the cob.
He seemed to have had it down and first...

but it became too much trouble holding it and trying to eat it.

So then he just did a face plant into it.

That a boy... getcha some corn.

Coming up for a breath.

Then we went to the park to enjoy the weather.

Notice Bella has a (plastic) cell phone dangling from her handlebars.

Reese Has Finally Given Up Too...

I noticed that the laundry room lights were out today while Bella was playing in there.
So I went to check to see what was going on.
Well, when I walked in she told me, "Shh, the babies are sleeping."
Does anyone need a pet sitter?
Yeah right...
like you'd trust this four year old with you pet.

One Year Birthday Blog

It was one year ago today that I started this blog.
Once again time really does fly.
My point of this blog was to update family and friends
on the Swartzfam
using pictures
, short stories, and hopefully a little humor...
so that this blog may put a smile on your face.

Hope you enjoy it.
I sure enjoy reading your blogs
or e-mails (for non-blog users).

Much Love,
Swartzfam
really just Lesley

A Haircut

Brett gave our yard a much needed haircut.
Kudos to him for tearing out all the bushes, renting a stump grinder,
and re-planted new flowers and bushes.

29 and Another Graphic Tee to Add to the Collection

It recently came to my attention that every year since Brett and I have been together...
I guess with the exception of one year...
he has gotten me a graphic tee for my birthday.
It didn't dawn on me until I was looking through some old pics.
The most offensive/weird one was... a picture of an old lady smokin'.
This tee he gave me on my birthday when we were dating.
I should have known then I was in for a treat
when it came to him picking out presents for me.
I remember disliking the tee and thinking it was a bit odd,
but deep down thought it looked a little funny.

I gave it away.

Here are pics of the others.

Let The Olympic Games Begin

We just got back from a visit to see my sister in Colorado Springs,
while we were there we went to
the Olympic Training Center.
It was neat to see where some of the athletes train.
However, we didn't run into any famous ones,

because they were already headed to Beijing.

GO USA!
