The DoeNutt Visit

Marcie, one of my college besties, came to Waco this weekend
with her mom, sister, and daughter.
Her sister is coming to BU in the fall,
so they came to check the place out.
It was so fun to have them in town!!!
Marcie's daughter, Sophia, is nine days older than Mr. Rowan.
And they had so much fun playing together. :)
Bella woke up this morning saying, "Why did they have to leave?"
I felt the same way.
Here are a few pics from the visit.

Uh Oh! Look at his face. Big Smile!

This was one of our first pictures taken together over 10 years ago. (Nice Glasses, McGee)
I don't think Marcie has aged a day.
Come back soon!

Mattress in the Hallway?!

She has been doing this since October.
4 out of 7 nights when I go up to check on Bella- this is what I find.
I am really not sure what to do here. I've asked her why she wants to sleep in the hallway. She said to be closer to us. She suggested that I should put her mattress in the hallway. I was hoping it would just be temporary, and she would realize that her bed was more comfortable. And it breaks my heart to see her covered up with a pillow case. (second picture) Therefore, I have agreed to let her put her nap mat at the top of the stairs. I know I should probably make her sleep in her bed. That is what a responsible parent would do. And I know she is really going to need to get in a good rhythm of good sleep before she starts Kindergarten in a few months. However, I remember as a child being so afraid of sleeping upstairs that I would sleep on a pallet besides my mom's bed every night.
What to do?!

BabyMoon

Brett came up with the name, BabyMoon. Not sure if he heard it somewhere or if that is truly what you call a get away trip before a new baby comes. Regardless of its origin or definition, that is what Biggy B and I did last night... we went on one last kid-less getaway before our family of four turns into a family of five. We went to Rough Creek Lodge, via some of ours good friends recommendation. The place was awesome and we had a great time together. I am sad it is already over! Here are a few pics from our trip.

Golf. Fishing. Lesley= 8 fish Biggy B= 0 (it was just pure luck)

Whoa... Mamma's Gettin' Big.
I think the days of taking pictures while pregnant are numbered.

Some Easter Pics

Not Quite Martha's.
These cupcakes are suppose to be baby chicks.
They look more like the face of my childhood dog.
Here is where the inspiration came from...

Victory over Death

"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me."-- Matthew 28: 6-10 KJV"

"And he departed from our sight that we might return to our heart,
and there find Him.
For He departed, and behold, He is here."
-- St. Augustine

Happy Easter!
