He was a September baby!

Rowan Butler Swartz was born September 27th at 9:17pm. He weighed 8lbs 7oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. He was the exact same weight of his sister.

I started "easy" labor at school around 10.

Went to the doctor at 2 and then to the hospital at 4:30.
It was painful, but the pain doesn't even compare to the return.
I feel so blessed and love my new family of four.
(FYI- Rowan was born on my Uncle Allen's b-day (my dad's brother) so it was a perfect time)

Okay well the induction date is set for Monday, October 1st at 6am.
I am still praying he will come before then... but I know that God's got a perfect time... so we'll see.

DUE DATE

No baby yet.
I go to the doctor today at 3:00, that is if I don't go into labor before then.
We will talk about the future.
I'll keep ya posted.

PS Dave Crowder's new CD came out today;
that is all I listened to when I was in labor with Bella.
Maybe that is what Rowan is waiting on. :)

Update- 4 More Days Until the Due Date!

I went to the doctor yesterday. I was effaced a little more. I will go again on Tuesday, my due date, that is if Rowan hasn't come by then. The doctor will check me again. Then we will talk about induction. I told him I would rather have it on my own if at all possible this time. So if we can we might wait until the week after that to induce. That would be the week of October 1st. However, I am believing that Rowan will come before that on his own. I know God's got a perfect time. So I am trying to be patient. For we all know His timing is much better than mine!! :)
Here is a pic. Oh and yes I cut my hair again. Sooner or later I am just going to shave it off. I guess you can't really tell in the picture, but it is pretty short in the back.

PS Where did my ankle bones go? I have the worlds worse cankles. For those of you that don't know that would be when ankle and the calf appear seamless.

School Shower

The sweet teachers at my school gave me a diaper shower.
What a blessing... diapers can get so expensive!

Dance Class

Today was Bella's first day of ballet/tap class.
She was a crier. I would have never marked her as a crier, but I ended up having to sit in the class with her.

However, she warmed up after a while, and seemed to really enjoy it.

Cool Front

Who doesn't love a cool front! We took a drive along the lake in the jeep yesterday.

Waco does have beautiful sunsets!

Poor Bella... a little wind blown. Maybe the hair will go up in a pony next time.

She held on to Reese's tail the whole time, so he wouldn't jump out.

2 more weeks to go!

At my last doctor's appointment I was dilated to a one, and effaced 75%.

Dilation is the process of the cervix opening in preparation for childbirth.

Dilation is measured in centimeters.
Effacement is the process by which the cervix gradually softens, shortens, and becomes thinner.

If you make your hand into a fist think of it slowly opening up, and slowly becoming thinner that is what the cervix does.

The baby is about 6.5 lbs.

My next doctors appointment is on Friday.
Then I should only have one more after that. :)

In Loving Memory

Yesterday marked the 13th anniversary of when my parents and brother went to be with the Lord.
As I was cleaning through the laundry room closet, I found an old box with my parents last will and testament.

First Day

Bella had her first day of "school" today.
(aka Mother's Day Out)
She was super excited.


First, she meets her cousin's at grandmas for pancakes. Then they head off to school.


Since school is right behind grandma's house they take a little nature walk along the way.
