"One in seven people will have the opportunity to use CPR in their lifetime"

On the morning news today I saw this segment on choking. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/26184891/vp/34745516#34745516

It was a wake up call to me.
I have done CPR training before, but it was many years ago.
I would hope I could perform CPR,
but to be honest I am not totally confident I could do it well.

When I was ten I choked on a Fireball candy.
My airway was completely blocked!
My father performed the Heimlich Maneuver on me.
Clearly, I lived through it, thanks to my dad's quick response.

My friend/ neighbor is a certified CPR instructor
and said she would be happy to perform a class at my house.
2 hours.
Free of charge.
But I would want to pay her a little something.
So let's say donations welcomed.
(ie. five or ten dollars a person)
I was thinking daytime class. Kids welcome.

That is a wonderful idea!! I will wait to see what day and when you set it up before I decide.
