Bella Had the Flu

 We spent many hours at home.
Got into watching old home movies.

 Lela has insisted on

using utensils.

Brett and his buddy 

built a bridge.

 

Strong enough to hold the weight of time
Long enough to leave some of us behind.

Burnt some brush.

We made a picnic and watched.

The kids were mesmerized.
Well sorta.

They really just wanted to get
back in the car and watch a movie.
Sad.

We will become outdoors people
when we move to this land.
Lord help us indoor lovers.

Brett stayed home

the next morning.
Made breakfast.

One thing I love about Jane

 is she could entertain

herself all day.
Bella was never much

of an independent player.
Nice change.

 Lela beat Rowan in

their first round

of skeet ball.
Beginners luck I guess.

Oh and we can't go through

a month without some
