Oh so funny.

So it is 9:30 pm, I am sitting on the couch reading my friend, Revekah's, personal statement. Which, by the way, was excellent and moving. Mind you my entire family has been asleep since 8:00pm. While I am reading it I hear shuffling in the bedroom. Brett walks out fully dressed with his jacket zip up, hair fix, teeth brushed, looks at me and says in a playful voice, "what in the world are you doing." I look at him confused. He starts to laugh. I then realize he was getting up for work. The guy heard his cell phone ring, thought it was his alarm, got up, got dressed, and was heading out the door after a hour and a half of sleep. It took him a few minutes to realize it was not time for work and he could go back to bed. He got up and said, "I wondered why I felt so tired."


Today was my first day to go in with him. We were up and out of the house by 3:20am. It was fun. I filled all the filled donuts and bagged all the donut holes amongst many other odds and ends. So one might be wondering which filled donut was the most popular today... well, that would have to be the lemon filled. Who knew. I, although, have decided my favorite is the marshmallow filled.


On a third and final note... tonight when I was putting Bella to bed I asked her if there was anything she wanted to pray about.
She said, "Um, yes, that I can sleep in your bed every night."

This started playing in my head...
...That just because He doesn't answer doesn't mean He don't care
Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.
We prayed it, but I kinda already know the answer to that one.
