If I Close My Eyes, They Can't See Me

This is Rowan's new tactic when
he is about to get in trouble.
I think he thinks
he is invisible to us once he closes his eyes.
Little does he realize we are the only
ones that disappear when he closes his eyes.

One can only guess what the boy was
getting in trouble for...
What is it with boys and throwing food?
Maybe I should say two year olds and throwing food.

Babywearing

I bought this new baby carrier for Jane.
I love it!!

My friend, Mary Kay, told me about it.
She has this one
and loves it!
But she also suggested I look into the bECO.
Brett was a little reluctant to spend
that much on a carrier,
but he now says it was well worth the cost.

When I had Bella, I started off with this one.

I like it, but because it is a sling
I felt like it pulled on my shoulder and back more.
-
Then I got this one, but it doesn't
have the bottom strap that the bECO has.

This model looks a little like John Gosselin's girlfriend.
-
I know there are a lot of baby carriers out there,
and I know a lot of them are great.
But if your in the market...
I would seriously consider this one.

Because I Told Myself I Would

So I am tired. I can't find my camera cord to put
any pictures on the computer.
And I can't really think of anything to blog about.
But since I told myself I would try and blog
everyday for two weeks...
Here I am, while Bella is upstairs crying.
Or in other words, pretending to cry to delay going to sleep.
I am sitting here on my bed feeling a little discouraged.

Like I will never catch up on life.
Never get the whole house clean,

organized, dinner made and laundry
done all at the same time.
I know that men have very hard jobs.
But I kinda of want to play Freaky Friday

and switch jobs with Biggy for one week.
I sort of feel like I'm kinda losing my

marbles here at home.

So there you have it... my Sunday post.

Back in the Saddle Again

I did it.

I went to the Y,

and ran with a running group.
Well, I walked with a running group.
I might have been dropped
within the first two minutes.
I may or may not be able to
walk up the stairs tomorrow.
Or walk to the mailbox.

But none the less, I got dressed,
put on my tennis shoes,
dressed my kids, loaded them in the car,
drove to the gym,
got out of the car with the two kids,
dropped them at childcare,
walked up to about six avid runners,
and started to run with them.
So excuse me while I pat myself on the back.
Wait, ouch, that arm is sore.

I even did a weigh in.
Now I have to be accountable
over the holidays.

If I Start At 7:30

how am I still not successful by 9:30

Do you not color enough at Kindergarten, my love.
Go to bed!

2nd Attempt

So last Thursday I decided that I was going
to try and blog everyday for two weeks.
And, well as you can see, that only lasted a day.
So here is my second attempt.
I am going to try, like stated early,
to blog for two weeks straight everyday.
I might not have much to say and it might be lame,
but I like a good challenge.
So here goes.

It’s Not A Lie If You Believe It

Bella is 100% convinced that
when we wake up tomorrow
tennis camp will be starting,
and that she will be going.
Last Saturday, we ran into a girl that
she saw at tennis camp last summer.

Bella must have asked the girl when
tennis camp was going to start again.
I am assuming the girl, who is 14,
told Bella in six months.
Well, Bella heard 6 days.
Maybe because she thinks days
and months are the same thing.
Therefore, she thinks when we wake up
tomorrow morning,
we are going to camp.
Every night this week,
while I am putting her to bed,
she reports to me how many more nights
are left until camp.
And every night I tell her
what she is saying is not correct,
and that it is not until the summer.
So according to Bella
we have tennis camp tomorrow morning.
As she was walking upstairs tonight
to go to bed she said,
"Don't forget tomorrow is tennis camp, Mom."
Again, I quickly reply,
"It's not until next summer."
In a very serious tone she yells back from upstairs,
"No, mom, I know.
You are really taking me to tennis camp."

Saturday

I am an updating fool these days.
-
Saturday we made Gingerbread Houses at the
Junior League Gift Market.
Bella loved it.
Rowan did too. Since all he did was shovel candy
into his mouth as quickly as possible.
While Biggy B proceeded to see how much candy
he could pile up onto Rowan's gingerbread
house before the roof caved in.
Which it did eventually.
I was glad that they had the market early this year,
because it seems to make the
holiday season go by slower...
that is, starting it earlier.

But Jane you are too little for a peppermint.

After that we took the kids to an old Waco classic...

Poppa Rollo's

On the way home we drove by the
lake to see the beautiful sunset.
I guess now having three kids
we can only eat dinner out,
if we do it before the sunsets.
Brett told me I was a dork for taking this picture.
But it was a beautiful site.
Waco has such beautiful sunsets.

Lastly, Bella wanted to have a slumber party.
AKA- tea and cinnamon toast before bed.
She got the idea from spending
the night at grandma's house.
So, that is was we did.
Then we watched a kid movie.
Brett rented an interactive kid movie.
You know one where you can
pick the paths of the cartoon characters
with the arrows on your remote.
Sounds fun, unless you don't have a
remote for your DVD player.

The Scientist

Bella was the Scientist of the week!
So, today she had to do an experiment in front of the class.
She tested whether or not an egg would float or sink in salt water.
She was a real cute scientist.

However, the highlight of our visit was when she carried
Rowan around the room to introduce him to all of her friends.

Maybe she didn't get the memo that he can walk.
It was a sweet sight none the less.
